A true luxury boutique hotel and one of the few to hold the InterContinental name, Le Vendôme has the reputation of offering excellence in hospitality. Gourmet restaurants, unparalleled service and a wealth of facilities make sure that businesspeople and tourists alike are treated very well at this classy property with a European edge.
Most of the rooms at Le Vendome look out on the Mediterranean, which is literally across the street from the hotel. A 10-minute drive to the airport and proximity to Downtown Beirut also make it a popular choice. There are 51 Deluxe and Executive Rooms in the hotel, as well as 22 spacious suites, all with luxurious continental design, plush fabrics, sophisticated wood paneling, marble finish and attractive art pieces. There are three floors that are completely set aside for non-smokers. The size of the Deluxe room is 30m2, and most Deluxe rooms have a city view. The Premium rooms are 35m2 and look out on to the sea, while the Executive rooms, also sea view, are 40 m2 in size.
The well-furnished rooms boast a plasma TV screen with DVD player, IP telephones, high-speed internet, a pillow menu, and many other advantages and amenities. The suites feature added luxuries such as an espresso machine and a fax machine.
This luxury boutique hotel is known for its gastronomy. Ultra-fine dining is available at Au Premier which hosts Michelin Star chefs on a monthly basis, who prepare the best of European and French cuisine. There’s a very French air about the restaurant, with a refined yet convivial atmosphere.
On the roof, Sydney’s Club Bar and Restaurant has a panoramic view of the Mediterranean and the mountains. It is a hotbed for VIPs, socialites and jetsetters. The food is superb, with a full breakfast buffet in the morning, and a la carte menu for the rest of the day. The afternoons are perfect for tea, while the evenings attract cognac sippers and cigar enthusiasts.
By virtue of being an InterContinental property, the elegant yet compact Vendome extends access to the spa and health club of its sister property, the large, grandiose Phoenicia InterContinental, which is only a five-minute walk away. The Vendome has also negotiated access with the Golf Club of Lebanon, as well as for the outdoor pools of certain prestigious resorts and beach clubs.
